Every limit, requirement, and fix in one place: the same numbers publishing actually enforces.

Character limits

The composer's counters use these exact numbers: going over gets trimmed or rejected at publish.

Daily posting limits

Video requirements

Enforced per-platform video limits. A video outside these gets rejected by the platform at publish time. Zolyp checks what it can (duration, size, format) before scheduling.

Platform rules

What each platform needs before a post can go out: the same checks publishing runs.

Instagrammedia required
  • Needs at least one image or video: text-only posts are rejected.
  • Images must be between 4:5 and 1.91:1 aspect ratio · 1080×1350 (4:5) works best for feed.
  • Comments: you can reply to existing comments, but Instagram doesn't allow starting a new top-level comment from apps.
Facebooktext-only OK
  • Posts go to a Facebook Page, never a personal profile. Connect a Page, and pick a default Page under Connections if the account has several.
  • You need Admin or Editor role on the Page.
LinkedIntext-only OK
  • Supports text-only posts, images, and video.
  • Optional title, up to 400 characters.
Google Businesstext-only OK
  • Text and image posts to your Business Profile's Updates tab.
  • Single-location accounts publish automatically; multi-location accounts pick a default location under Connections (or per post in the composer).
Xtext-only OK
  • Short captions: 280 characters max.
  • Videos over 2 min 20 sec are rejected on standard accounts.
TikTokmedia required
  • Video and photo posts both publish. Photos must be JPG or WebP, because TikTok doesn't accept PNG or GIF for photo posts.
  • On a photo post the caption doubles as the title; video posts have no separate title field.
  • TikTok enforces its own anti-spam caps (~15 posts per rolling 24h per account); pending unpublished drafts in the TikTok inbox also block new uploads.
YouTubemedia required
  • Video only. An image post can't go to YouTube. Switch the post to video or drop YouTube from its platforms.
  • Title required at publish, up to 100 characters.
Pinterestmedia required
  • Needs an image, and a board to pin to. Pick a default board under Connections (Pinterest has no auto-detect).
  • If the account has no boards yet, create one on Pinterest first, then sync connections.
  • Some websites block Pinterest saves. A pin linking to such a site is rejected.
Threadstext-only OK
  • Short posts: 500 characters max. Text-only is fine.

Comments

Reading, replying to, and deleting comments from the post details drawer works on these platforms.

InstagramFacebookLinkedInGoogle Business · not supportedX · not supportedTikTok · not supportedYouTubePinterest · not supportedThreads · not supported

On Instagram you can reply to existing comments, but starting a new top-level comment isn't allowed by Instagram itself. TikTok has no public comments API.

Retry & unpublish

What happens after a post goes out: retrying a failure, and taking a live post down.

Retrying a failed post

  • Only the platforms that failed are retried: anything that already went out stays untouched, so a retry can never double-post.
  • Your image or video isn't re-uploaded: the retry reuses the media from the original attempt.
  • Temporary failures (rate limits, platform hiccups, daily caps) retry on their own. The post card says so when they will. Hit Retry publish any time to retry immediately.

Unpublishing a live post

Unpublish (on the post card's menu) deletes the live copy from the platform. The post itself stays in Zolyp, ready to edit or re-send. Platforms that allow it:

Instagram · not supportedFacebookLinkedInGoogle Business · not supportedXTikTok · not supportedYouTubePinterest · not supportedThreads

Instagram and TikTok don't allow deleting a published post from outside their apps. Remove those in the app itself. Google Business and Pinterest posts can't be removed from here either.

Plan limits

What each plan includes. Credits reset monthly.

Text credits cover AI prompts: composing, rewriting, or adapting a caption, “Fix with a note”, research, and chatting with your AI team each cost 1 credit per run, a separate pool from image credits, so prompts never eat into your image allowance. Image renders cost 2–8 credits depending on quality. Failed runs are never charged.

The three pools never cross, so running out of one doesn’t stop the others: with no image credits left you can still generate video, write captions, schedule, and publish. Scheduling and publishing posts you’ve already made never costs credits at all. Image and video credits can be topped up separately. A top-up balance never expires and is only spent once that month’s allowance is gone. Text credits have no top-up; a bigger monthly allowance means moving up a plan.

On the 3-day free trial you get 6 images, 3 posts, and 20 prompt credits. Video generation isn’t included until you upgrade, and trial allowances can’t be topped up.

When a post fails

Every failure shows a plain-language reason on the post card. Here's what the common ones mean and how to fix them.

Connection expired or revoked

Session expired, password changed on the platform, token invalid, “Unauthorized”.

Go to Connections, reconnect the account, and approve all requested permissions. If you recently changed the platform password, this is always the fix.

Account blocked on the platform

Account suspended, temporarily locked, restricted, or flagged as spam.

This must be resolved on the platform itself (facebook.com, x.com, the Instagram app…). Zolyp can't lift a platform restriction. Reconnect after it's cleared.

Media doesn't fit the platform

Wrong aspect ratio, unsupported size or format, video too long, image-only post sent to a video platform.

Check the media requirements and platform rules above, adjust the media (or drop the platform from the post), then retry.

Daily limit or rate limit reached

The platform's daily posting cap is used up, or requests are briefly rate-limited.

These clear on their own: daily caps roll over on a 24-hour window (YouTube resets at midnight UTC). Failed posts retry automatically where it's safe to.

Temporary platform errors

“Service unavailable”, “temporary issue”, unexpected platform-side errors.

Nothing is wrong with your post. Wait a few minutes and retry. These almost always clear.

A post that failed on one platform can still be live on the others. Its analytics and comments keep working for the platforms that published. Retry only re-sends the platforms that failed.
